Introduction I'm an eternal optimist and a hopeless romantic - which can sometimes be a bad combination! I love life and like finding humour in everything (I am a typical ironic Brit, after all!) I love writing - I've written songs for the past 15 years and have recently launched my debut album, About Time - hear my music on www.mirandadickinson.com. I am the author of three Sunday Times bestselling novels published by Avon/HarperCollins - Fairytale of New York (2009), Welcome to My World (2010) and It Started With a Kiss (2011), and my fourth novel When I Fall in Love will be published this year. Travels with my Teapot (or Tea Ladies, Arise!) is currently in development - www.nobodysuspectsatealady.blogspot.co.uk is the place to discover all the characters and gain exclusive extracts from the novel. Enjoy with a cup of something comforting! xx
Interests Writing, reading, watching my sad collection of DVD's, hanging out with great mates and my lovely boyfriend Bob, great coffee, writing recording and performing my own songs...
Favorite Movies Ooh, where do I start?! Like I said, I have THE saddest DVD collection in the world (much to the dismay of my family, friends and long-suffering boyfriend)... And I'm sorry if you don't agree, but You've Got Mail IS the best chick flick of all time, followed by While You Were Sleeping, The Philadelphia Story, Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally... I also love Muppet films, Disney films and Pixar Films, particularly Lady & The Tramp and Monsters Inc. Yep, I'm sad, but I'm happy!
Favorite Music Jack Johnson, James Taylor, Athlete, Coldplay, Feeder, Foy Vance, The Fray, Daniel Bedingfield, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, anything by Elgar and Dvorak's New World Symphony. Tres varied, non?
Favorite Books See the list on my blog.. Favourite authors include: Jane Austen, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Robert Rankin, Harriet Evans, Meg Cabot, Alexander McCall Smith, PG Wodehouse - amongst others...

When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?

Blimey, what kind of mad, violently psychotic science teachers did you have? The most exciting thing my science teacher did was break thermometers and talk incessantly about her husband's piles... I would have worried about the rose petals, though, if that had ever happened in my science class :o)
