Introduction	You can call me Lita Verella. I currently live in Columbia, Maryland where I work as an Administrative Assistant. I go to school part time where I major in General Studies...I'm considering changing my major to English Literature since English Literature was always my favorite subject. Plus I enjoy reading and writing. According to my family, I began writing when I learned to spell. :-) I would write short stories and poetry for fun as a child, but I did not discover my love for poetry until the eighth grade where would spend a quarter writing poetry for English Class. After reading what I had written, my English teacher (Mrs. Sidney) told me to keep writing. So I never stopped. I'm mainly inspired by nature, places I have been, thoughts, feelings and emotions. I also like to participate in poetry challenges as they challenge me, and they keep me creative. In February 2008, I've had two of my poems ("Upon Narrow Roads" and "Beautiful Transitions") published in Shadows Ink Chapbook Series 2, Volume 5. I hope to one day publish a book of my own.
