About me

Gender Male
Occupation artist
Location Brooklyn, New York, United States
Introduction I studied painting in the 1960's at Washington U in St. Louis and Yale in the MFA program. I have since lived and worked in San Francisco and New York, and now live in Brooklyn. My working perspective is influenced as much by my teachers- notably Al Held, Knox Martin and Lester Johnson, as it is by my ongoing career as a sign and wall painter in the pre-digital world of outdoor advertising- years 1982 until present. Recent exhibitions include a solo show at Museo Jean Byron in Guanajuato, Mexico, 2008. Recent murals include the American Civil Liberties Union on 125 Broad, 2011. Also, I continue to work as a scenic painter in the New York area.
