Introduction David Wang graduated from the Beijing Education College in 1984, with a B.A. He became a fine art teacher for eight years. In 1988, Wang came to the U.S. as a visiting scholar and studied at the University of Southern California in L.A. For 12 years, worked for the Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida studio. He was a senior background artist doing work from concept development through production. His credits include "Pocahontas", "Mulan", "Tarzan", "Lilo & Stitch", "Brother Bear","The Princess and the Frog", and "Curious George". The art of masters like Velasquez, Sorolla, Sargent, Zorn, Remington, Frank Tenney Johnson, and Andrew Wyeth are his favorite artists. He likes oil painting in a realistic style. His paintings have been shown in regional and national exhibitions, including Arts for the Parks national competition-two of his landscape paintings placed in the top 100 in 2002, and another was placed in the top 100 in 2003. He was a portrait competition finalist in Artists Magazine in 1999, and had works shown in the Western Art Collector Magazine for several issues. Currently his works are exhibited in The Plainsmen Gallery in Clearwater, FL.
