Introduction A collection of reasonable tantrums and unreasonable passions.
Interests Good horses, skilled riding, and interspecies communication. I also like traditional acoustic music. "Sixty-four strings" refers to how many I have to tune to play with my friends, since I am further afflicted with a passion for the hammered dulcimer.
Favorite Music traditional acoustic, a capella music of all sorts, classic rock.
Favorite Books Nabokov's Pale Fire, Billy Collins's Sailing Alone Around the Room, anything by Ruth Rendell, Charles Dickens, and Jane Smiley, A.S. Byatt, Dorothy Sayers, and pretty much any kind of mystery no matter how cheesy the cover.

Describe the sound of a moist waffle falling onto a hot griddle.

Why would a waffle fall on the griddle? It's only a waffle once it's *off* the griddle. If it's falling the way you describe, then somebody dropped it, and the sound track is "oops."
