Introduction	Welcome to Splendid Market, a market of ideas, or notions. Things one can do to make everyday life at home more splendid. Before I became a full time Domestista, I was honored to be a leader in one of the world’s most iconic food and retail environments. As the original Specialty Food Product Manager at Starbucks, I was a member of the creative team that took the latte leader from 60 to 1200 stores. It was my job to roam the US and Europe, visiting food shows and meeting with top chefs and bakers to find the best items for the stores as Starbucks emerged into a global symbol for gourmet innovation. This was exciting, but I was grateful when the time came to re-focus my attention to creating a splendid home life. Managing a home and family can be all-consuming and I struggled at times to do it well and with the flair I wanted to express. Out of necessity,I pursued ways to create my desired “splendid life” in the most efficient way possible. I write about my best ideas to make life more exquisite, with a minimal amount of effort and expense.
