Introduction I’m a late bloomer, or maybe more accurately, someone who has explored several paths. My early years were spent raising 4 amazing kids, and somewhere in the middle of all that, I went back to school. Starting from the beginning at a community college and finishing with a PhD in biology. My focus was on animal behavior and I got to have 7 wonderful years studying a little rodent, the tuco-tuco, in Argentina. Now, I’m scraping together jobs, teaching biology at whatever college will take me! Currently, I teach intro bio and marine mammals at Santa Rosa Junior College and at UC Berkeley, the schools I attended. I love nature and animals and going on adventures, especially if those adventures include sea kayaking in the Pacific Northwest! I’m working towards a life with less so that I can have a life of more… less ownership, more freedom to explore. I’m pretty lucky, surrounded by the best friends and family one could wish for. So here I am on my second (or third) journey, ready to embrace whatever comes next!
