| Introduction | I began working on my genealogy about 1970, before computers & before Alex Haley's "Roots". At that time it was a pastime of mostly those of the older generation, of which I am now a part! One day about 1971, I arrived at the Family History Library in Santa Monica & a lady at the front desk commented under her breath rather abruptly, "well they get younger every day!" We all laughed & I continued on through the years. I have researched several locations & surnames for family & friends & enjoyed every minute of it. I welcome discussion on all aspects of research, as it only enhances accuracy. It is vital to property cite sources, which I did not for years & am suffering now for my poor record keeping.
