| Introduction | This blog started off as a lengthy email written to the author of the site www.frankenlies.com. Probably like many readers of Al Franken's books who stumbled upon the site, I was, at first, induced by its claims to become quite skeptical of some of the facts dearest Al presented in his books. A thorough examination of this hack's claims, however, reveals the author of the website to be nothing more than another right-wing smear artist, distorting, mis-representing, and just plain, flat-out lying to his audience, because that's the only way your average Republican knows how to make a point. I can tell you that the ease and relative speed with which I was able to comprehensively debunk each of this website's fabrications gave me immense satisfaction. I fired off the email and patted myself on the back for a job well done. Truth wins again. But then I realized that if this guy was able to sow seeds of doubt in my mind about Al's commitment to delivering the truth, he'd probably be able to sow seeds of doubt in the minds of just about everyone else who visited his online septic tank of lies.
