Introduction Hi, I'm Clarissa and thanks for stopping by my blog. I've helped in the kitchen, since I could climb onto our kitchen stool and reach the counters. I always knew where all the ingredients, tools and utensils were hiding. I grew up on yummy home style Chinese food that my parents cooked and the occasional treat of American food. The kitchen is my refuge, where I unwind and have order and control and give my introverted soul a chance to recover from a long day. BITA is a collection of recipes that are healthy/unhealthy and sweet/savory depending on my mood, guilt level and the temperature of The Attic. When I've had an especially crappy day or week, I'll make something sweet and fatty. When my pants are tighter, I'll probably try to adjust a recipe by adding whole grains or taking out refined sugars or fat. When The Attic is 90+ degrees in the summer, I'll have a lot of salad or no-bake recipes. The constant for my recipes is they must taste good! I won't serve anything that I don't like to my friends and the same is true for this blog. To get to the recipes, click on the link that says, "Just the recipe..." This way you can skip all my ramblings :-) Enjoy!
