Introduction | WHIT: My love of baking and cooking comes from how I was raised. I’m from Nashville where family, friends and good food are in abundance. My mom was a gourmet chef so growing up I was spoiled with home cooked meals. Bottom line: food brings people together. It’s about good food and even better company. You can normally find me crockpotting or baking something. I try and substitute ingredients out for healthier alternatives so I'll share my swaps. I am just starting to think seriously about pursuing my love of food so I’ll share my recipes and cooking experiences as I go on this journey! REL: Over the years food has transformed from a way of sustenance to a way of life. With the Food Network, Top Chef and numerous other cooking entertainment mediums, how could I not fall in love with food? From experimenting in the kitchen, to going out for extravagant meals, and tasting dishes from around the world, I have been lucky enough to experience an inspiring array of flavors. To describe myself simply: I am a Bostonian, an NYU student, a dancer, but most importantly a passionate foodie! |
