| Introduction | I'm one of the lucky ones. I got to marry the man of my dreams. Now we're living in the small home, designing a life together. It isn't always easy living in such a small space, but being in love helps. Sometimes I have to pinch myself, because I'm so incredibly blessed in so many ways. One thing I have learned is life is lived in the small moments. Sometimes we spend so much time and energy planning for the big moments like wedding that we lose sight of what's important. We forget that we don't actually live in those big moments. We only experience them, and then go on to live in the small moments after they're finished. That's why I try to make everything about the small moments in our lives special. I try not to take anything for granted. Sometimes that means writing a letter or painting something to make it more beautiful. Other times it's sitting down with a cup of coffee and just enjoying time with family and friends. Life is a series of choices. We can embrace the Small Moments and really enjoy and appreciate them. Or we can focus constantly on the next big moment and miss what's beautiful now. I choose the Small Moments. |
