| Introduction | Aguja - a fitting name for a word stitcher. I have loved words for as long as my memory has allowed; the sounds, shapes, meanings - the feel of words in my mind, the taste of them on my lips, the feasting on them of my eyes and the words of others playing on my ears. For me, words also transform into images to become drawings, paintings, computer images and finally, illustrations. So, I stitch words - working at them, unpicking, redoing, until they become a poem, a letter or email, a thought on raw paper .... and occasionally, a book. Words are what we all share, but each word belongs to itself. |
