Introduction Steve Rogers is originally from Chicago and is a historian and research consultant based in the Washington, DC area. He holds a BA in German and English from Florida Southern College; a MA in German Literature from the University of Arizona; and a Ph.D. in Germanic Studies from the University of Maryland. His essays, articles, poems and reviews have appeared in several journals and anthologies. Since his recent retirement after 32 years as a historian with the Department of Justice, Steve and his wife divide their time between their home in historic Mount Rainier, Maryland and New Gloucester, Maine.
