Introduction Roy and I have 3 daughters, Katy, Jess and Molly, 1 son, Clay, and a son-in-law, Phillip. Katy and Phillip have given us our only grandson, Sam. We have a perfect family life! In January of 2007, Roy was diagnosed with bladder cancer. By the time they removed the bladder, the cancer had spread through the bladder and into the tissue surrounding it. After many surgeries, dialysis, months in the hospital and chemotherapy, the cancer has returned. A tumor has grown in the pelvic cavity. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation in the hopes of shrinking this mass. We have a strong support system that includes wonderful friends and extended families. We have learned to never take anything for granted...you never know when it might be gone. Pay attention to changes in your body, Roy was always so healthy that we didn't really think it was anything serious when he started showing symptoms. Realize that your true friends will be the most helpful to you. Love the life you are given! Hug your children every chance you get! Avoid anyone that tries to make you feel bad and focus on ALL OF YOUR BLESSINGS!Pray without ceasing!
Interests My wonderful family, reading, cooking, writing poetry, napping whenever I get a chance, animals of all kinds, art, meeting new people, and I am recently learning the art of "wine-tasting"...it's great!
Favorite Movies Steel Magnolias, Raisin' Arizona, What about Bob, All the Vern movies (thanks Roy), PLANET OF THE APES and anything with Kevin Spacey!
Favorite Music Anything that isn't Country- I love soft rock especially! I have always loved most any music my girls have been into, even though I am having a little trouble with some of Molly's favorites. Have musicians gotten less talented?
Favorite Books James Patterson mysteries, John Grisham, J.D. Salinger, Jennifer Weiner, Stephenie Meyer, I'll read most anything that is interesting!
