| Introduction | I both manage a small community mental health agency, Blackbird Family Therapy, Inc., and also run a private practice in Oakland. In my practice, I focus on performing couples therapy and treating anxiety disorders. I have an unusual training and background in both, and will often combine the two, for example, by helping an individual work through PTSD symptoms with a partner in couples therapy, while also strengthening the relationship. The agency I manage, Blackbird Family Therapy, Inc., provides free therapy to anyone in Alameda County who has been the victim of a violent crime, including such crimes as child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
