| Introduction | I'm Suzi a.k.a. Smartcat. I've been involved with the arts for most of my life. In 1991 I finally finished my B.F.A. at the University of Rhode Island, where I was known as the Thirty Year Student. I discovered majolica in the mid-eighties and became thoroughly enamored. I am largely self taught with the help of some very fine workshops. I share the house with Proge (adult son) in the woods of southern R.I. Yes, there are still a few reasonably rural area in the state. We are fortunate to abut a state management area.
