| Introduction | Reaching Inward and Seeking Empowered is based on a model originally developed while applying to the Echoing Green Fellowship which provides seed funding for Nonprofit Organizations in the start up phase. Our approach utilizes evidence based public health social marketing with innovative social media strategies to change behavior, perceptions and beliefs about key health issues. Our efforts began with the development of this model in early 2010, launch of a mental health and recovery social change and advocacy project in the Fall, based out of Southwest Michigan. This year our goal is focused on reapplying to the Echoing Green fellowship with a more robust model that will help us to win the fellowship. Last year Scott Spicer made it as a semi finalist, placing him in the top 30% of nearly 1,100 applicants from around the world. Only 20 fellows are selected each year, so we need your support to be successful next time around. |
