Introduction | The Reverend Erik Walker Wikstrom is the father of two beautiful young men, the partner of a wonderful woman, and is currently a chaplain resident at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA (after roughly a quarter-of-a-century of congregational ministry and a brief stint as Director of Worship and Music Resources at the Unitarian Universalist Association headquarters). He is the author of three books: Teacher, Guide, Companion: rediscovering Jesus in a Secular World; Simply Pray: a modern spiritual practice to deepen your life; and Serving With Grace: lay leadership as a spiritual practice. Most recently he served as editor of the anthology Faithful Practices: Everyday Ways to Feed Your Spirit. (He is also a juggler, clown, magician, fire-eater, escape-artist, mask-maker) [A word about the image: the painting was done by my friend Bill Reynolds.) |
