About me

Location Portland, Oregon, United States
Introduction For many years I pursued the American dream: A big home, fancy car, nice clothes, and above all a sense of belonging. I started a business and quickly grew sales to over a million dollars. My outlook was positive. Then my first business crisis struck. I was completely unprepared. First came stress, then uncertainty, followed fear and anxiety. I endured this condition on and off for many years. I saw various therapists, bought self-help books and tapes on meditation. I journaled and took classes on yoga and world religion. While these efforts provided some relief, the benefits were short lived. As soon as the next hurdle arrived I plunged back into my dark world. My new leaf turned when I began to take self-help seriously. What I mean by that is practice. It never occurred to me that by simply practicing regularly I could relieve all of the pressure. It's no different than getting better by practicing a sport or a musical instrument. I am devoting this blog to show you the practices that work for me and also those practices that have proven to work for others. Once you establish a routine practice I have no doubt that you will find the peace you are looking for.
