| Introduction | I am Melissa, and I never really know how to describe myself. I am different things depending on the day. I am a study in opposites most days: wishing for simplicity while being surrounded by the complicated; needing peace and quiet, but frequently finding chaos instead; loving my job while longing to be home. I am often happy, mostly organized, usually responsible. I have fine, thin hair that only occasionally looks good---and then, only for a few hours at most. I have crow's feet that are becoming more prominent by the day. I think my best feature is my smile when it's genuine. I have run a 5K and walked a half marathon,---not in the same day--but the only regular exercise I get is ....waking up. I have aspirations of being "athletic", but so far it hasn't panned out. I love Jesus and place my faith in the "top 3" important things in my life. I love my kids with a vengeance and pray often that I don't screw them up too badly. They are my joy---but, to be completely honest, they make me want to pull my hair out some days. "Ad Meliora" |
