| Introduction | We live in north-central Iowa in the country. We are (as of 2009) empty-nesters with both of our kids college graduates and married (in 2010)! We're not lonely with 3 cats (as of December, 2018) 1 older one (Bogart Wrigley, born 12/2004) 1 orphan from July, 2008, (Ron Santo) and the only female kitten, Watson, who rode home under John's pickup truck from work on June 20th, 2014!! We think she was only 10 weeks at the time. |
| Interests | We have a granddaughter, Olivia Lenore, who was born on 2/10/2014 and a grandson (Olivia's little brother), Maxwell Charles, born 8/28/2017. We now have another grandson (Wyatt, born 1/30/2018). We have 4 great-nephews: Izaac, born 5/2007, Blake, born 3/2011, Reed, born 5/2012 and Anthony, born 8/2013. We now also have 3 great-nieces; Harper, born 10/2013 and Audrey, born 2/2014, and Adeline, born 9/2017. Samantha and Alex are our kids. My sister is Shirley, and my brother is Bob. Shirley has 3 kids, Brian, (Blake and Anthony's dad); Amanda (Izaac and Audrey's mom), and Michelle (Reed and Harper's mom). Bob has two kids, Joe & Ben. Ben got married in 9/2016. Joe is now a dad, with Elycse of baby Adeline, born 9/2017. My folks live in Des Moines (Grandma & Grandpa Markey), and John's mom (Grandma W) lives in Sac City. John has two sisters, Ann (married to Don, and they have a daughter, Claire), and Kathy (married to Mick) and she has two kids, Will and Rachel (who got married 8/30/2014). John's Aunt Mary lives in Lake View, Iowa. |
