| Introduction | I’m a military wife, stepmother, puppy spoiling, sugar loving Indiana girl. When I was 18 years old I got my first job as a grocery store cake decorator. I didn't have any formal training, but I loved watching the other decorators, so I taught myself how to do the job. Shortly afterwards, while visiting my out-of-state oldest sister and meeting my first nephew, I met and fell in love with a smart, sexy Coastie. Now I live wherever the United States government sees fit to send us. I've been an on and off professional cake decorator for over ten years and an amateur cook and pastry chef since I got married and learned that I loved being in the kitchen with my husband. My days are spent adjusting to new kitchens and cities every two to four years, working hard at not being the stereotypical stepmother, practicing photography, and teaching myself and friends new cake decorating, baking, and cooking techniques. Okay, and while I'm at it, I should admit that I am addicted to shopping. |
