Introduction I talk too much, eat too much and dislike social situations. I love my family and my pugs and despite utter cynicism about most things, I know that I am lucky. I read and write to escape reality, but in a good way. And I am an only child - which should explain a lot.
Interests Literature, Philosophy, Fashion, Photography, Food, Classical Art, Human Behaviour, Music in all its forms, Travel and new places, the Past.
Favorite Movies Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet, The Godfather Parts 1 and 2, Taxi Driver, any Pixar stuff, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, The Shining, Excalibur, Ben Hur, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Clueless, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Mallrats, Dirty Harry, The Big Sleep, The Maltese Falcon, Snatch, Moulin Rouge, To Kill a Mockingbird.
Favorite Music Too many to mention. Mainly Prince, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Madonna, Tom Petty, cheesy 80s guitar bands, old soul classics, Isley Brothers, rap when it was decent, Dr Dre and Eminem in 2000, Kate Bush is my idol. Many many more...
Favorite Books To name but a few - Raymond Chandler 'The Big Sleep', 'Farewell My Lovely' 'Killer in the Rain' Short Stories. Any of James Thurber's work. J D Salinger 'The Catcher in the Rye'. Sherlock Holmes stories, Waugh's 'Bridehead Revisited' and 'Vile Bodies', 'Vanity Fair', Dickens is a genius also. Stephen King's 'The Shining', 'Misery', 'Carrie', Harper Lee's 'To Kill a Mockingbird', Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' and Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights', anything by Shakespeare (not books I know) or about King Arthur, Greek myth, Tove Jansson's Moomin books and Maurice Sendak's 'Where the Wild Things Are', Gabriel Garcia Marquez's 'One Hundred Years of Solitude', 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and 'Catch-22' are amazing, and I'm never too far away from a copy of Vogue!
