| Introduction | Although I'm no novice to nonfiction writing and work my tail off writing back-of-the-book indexes, I am deep in the throws of writing my Great American novel. For the past five years I've read everything I can on writing novels and attended more writing seminars than school plays. Since I'm the kind of person who needs to hear (and read) things again and again for them to sink in, I decided to share my journey with you for two reasons: I might learn something new and you might learn something new. If nothing else, we can have fun arguing about writing, which I call "spirited discussions," and maybe we'll end up teaching each other something! So kick back with a latte or cup of tea and enjoy my blogs. Oh and have a pastry, they were baked fresh this morning. |
