| Introduction | I’m in the photo with my son who just went off to CU to study Chemistry! During the summer of 2010 I spent a week at an awesome math camp for girls at the University of Northern Colorado. It was this camp and the girls at the camp who inspired me to start “girls with pi”! My goal is that ANY girl or young woman who likes math and science be inspired by the interviews on this blog and go on to find meaningful careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). I’ve been an engineer for over 20 years and it’s been a great career! These are wonderful fields where you can support yourself, take care of a family if you choose to have one, and make a difference in other people’s lives! |
