About me

Introduction As a kid I was a very finicky eater. I think I made my mom weep a couple times. I remember my grandfather telling me a wonderful story about food on a walk in the then quiet city of Bangalore only to come home to me eating just one grape after. It's been a long while since then. I grew up in great kitchens world-wide. Kitchens in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India and Canada. My mom would set-up fabulous kitchens where ever we went. One of my most memorable meals has been eating mouth-watering dumplings in a trailer in Saudi Arabia. Needless to say, I was fed very well growing up regardless of where I lived. It was only in my late 20s in San Francisco where I began to transform my kitchen and really feed myself well. I am back in Toronto after spending 7 months as an apprentice growing organic food. I hope to use this blog as an outlet to post musings on everyday wholesome nutritious meals drawing upon meals made by my mom and evoke the feeling of hearing that grinding stone in my grandmother's kitchen.
