Interests An American-Israeli living in Tel Aviv, I write, edit, and manage content development projects for corporate web sites, intranets, and courses on varied topics to drive business success and boost client satisfaction. This work includes creating texts and videos using clear nontechnical language and images that communicate effectively with diverse audiences in multiple industries such as healthcare, training, pharmaceuticals, information technologies, and financial services. . . . An active volunteer with at-risk communities, I work with African refugees and asylum seekers in Israel while mentoring my Bhutanese friends worldwide and documenting their South Asian refugee community's journey from expulsion and subsistence in holding camps to welcome and opportunity in third-country resettlement programs. . . .
Since spring 2011, I have been learning daily with the Daf Yomi Talmud study group that meets at Alma Home for Hebrew Culture in Tel Aviv. Launched by Kobi Oz, world-renowned Israeli singer, songwriter, artistic director, and Alma fellow, Kobi and the group of secular and religiously-observant Israeli men and women are conducting a dynamic and spirited inquiry into the Hebrew (Mishna) and Aramaic (Gemara) texts that comprise the Talmud. To date, we have completed seven Tractates.
