Introduction Hey, I'm Meggin, otaku extraordinaire. I love anime and manga (esp. drawing it), cooking, reading, music (vinyl), and I've recently gotten into making my own clothes and accessories. I'm opening an Etsy store soon, so look for that if handmade kitschy stuff like that is your thing :) Also, some random unimportant stuff (feel free to leave now): My favorite foods are sushi and green tea ice cream (not together... :/), my favorite color is Robin's Egg Blue, and you have no IDEA how much I want to live in a big city (e.g., Portland or New York) instead of the South. Also, I break things. A lot.
Interests Reading, vinyl records, photography, literature, poetry/writing, cooking, flute, guitar, coffee, anime/manga, drawing, upcycling, sewing/crafting...
Favorite Movies Too many to list! Good, bad, and in-between, I'll watch them. But I love Audrey Hepburn films, reeeeeallly old black and white silent films, and John Hughes movies (kind of a jump, I know). Also, Duck Soup ;)
Favorite Music I did have a huge list of every band I liked, but you don't want to read that, do you? SO, genres then. Erm, I love singer/songwriter stuff, and indie music. I also, as of late, have a penchant for one-hit wonders of all decades from the 90's back, and lately for big band/swing (not sure why). Top 5 favorite artists: The Magnetic Fields, The Clash, The Jam, The Beatles (a cliche to like, I know), and Bob Dylan. Oooh, and Patsy Cline, and Radiohead, and The Smiths and... oops. *Also Tom Waits and the Velvet Underground, esp. their debut when Nico was still in* Sorry, serious music geek. These couldn't go unmentioned.
Favorite Books Authors: Austen, Hemingway, P.G. Wodehouse (ignoring his rummy behaviour concerning the war in the '30s), Agatha Christie, Dorothy Parker, City Lights Pocket Poets series... I also love YA fiction, which is what my blog is devoted to.

Your pajamas have duckies on them. Why did you switch from choo-choos?

Not-so-random question of how do I get this question off? It makes me feel violated, how did Blogger know what I'm wearing?! (And they're not 'duckies', they are DRAKES, ya hear?)
