Introduction I am currently researching a project on the urban economy at Rome at the University of Liverpool, funded by a Leverhulme early career fellowship. I am interested in Roman social and economic history and have previously written on migration and the urban economy, Roman street life, street traders and hawkers, and the retail trade in the city of Rome. Publications include a forthcoming monograph with OUP, Shopping in Ancient Rome: The Retail Trade in the Late Republic and Principate, and Demography and the Graeco-Roman World. New Insights and Approaches (Cambridge University Press), edited with Dr April Pudsey.
