Introduction I am a chemist who has always loved food, especially desserts. Growing up in a family of gourmands, I could not imagine birthdays and holidays without a delicious meal. After 5 years in cosmopolitan Montreal, where the Lebanese zaatar and the green mango Thai salad happily cohabit with the hearty Confit de canard and the creamy Saag paneer, the Edmonton food scene is definitely more subdued. I decided to start blogging about food when I realized, rather agreed to admit that I was food-obsessed. I used to spend my week-ends browsing through my favourite cookbooks, salivating with anticipation as I was planning my Saturday feasts and Sunday dinners. What were we going to have this time?
