Introduction

I am a Fine artist working in paint & printmaking, inspired by memories of places & objects within them. Images and feelings are retraced to create an essence of these spaces. I was commissioned by BPN Architects, Birmingham (2016) to make a series of prints exploring the changing cityscape, looking at iconic buildings & concealed spaces that were revealed in the process of new building & reconstruction.

I inspire the viewer to look more closely and ask questions, particularly relevant when I make blind embossings, devoid of colour, such as those for Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery of the Geology collection.

Last year (2020) I curated & exhibited in a group show at The Old Lock Up Gallery. I also exhibited in the Printmakers Council exhibition ‘Time’ & their online ‘Colour’ exhibition.

Awards: Finalist in the neo:Print Prize, and Nottingham Castle Open Exhibition Prize, Prizewinner in the Shropshire Open, received Arts Council England, Grants for the Arts funding & been shortlisted for the RA Summer Show. I have exhibited in the Print International at Tŷ Pawb, Wrexham.
