Introduction | I was a stay at home mom for 13 years and decided to go back to school as my children began growing up SO FAST. 8 yrs ago I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and began my teaching career. My first teaching experience was middle school LArts, but my heart has always been with the "little ones." I've taught 1st grade for 7 years. I love to add art to my lessons and try to make each lesson interesting for all learners in my room. Having a welcoming classroom community is the most important thing to me as a teacher. Once a child feels welcomed, loved, and has a sense of belonging....the sky is the limit!I am married to my best friend,Jeremy, who is a GIS Analyst. I have two children. My oldest attends Mississippi State University and is studying to become a Pediatrician. My youngest is attending our local community college and aspires to be a Child Life Specialist. Robbie, is 21 and LeeAnna is 18.... hard to believe how fast they grow! I still see my "little" kids. Getting a new group of "little ones" each year helps me to deal with my EMPTY NEST. I am thankful for each little person that God blesses my life with each year! |
