Introduction I'd like to to be "Anonymous" (she was a woman they say) to be everywoman when it comes to the manse, to the life of faith, to the journey toward a very small box and a very big eternity. The biggest challenge in being a manse hen, is the exposure, the vulnerability, the isolation, the inability to say the last three words without someone potentially being offended. That very offense reminding one of aforementioned vulnerability. I am a Manse Hen who only rarely leaves my own proverbial roost. I am greatly comforted by the life of Susannah Spurgeon because she was "unwell" and still made a difference. Women, like that woman with the alabaster jar, who "did what she could " are my heroines. To do what I can, and to choose that one thing needful, these are my hearts desires.
