Introduction | I grew up in SF, and I'm a self-proclaimed food snob. Recently, I moved to Portland, Oregon, and I'm growing to love the food scene here as well, although beakfast potatoes in PDX tend to be terrible and underseasoned, and everyone cooks your burger well done, even if you ask for medium rare. BF (Gnarles) and I thought it would be great fun to start a food blog. My qualifications are: I am real, but not a critic. I eat out all the time, I have terrific taste, and all my friends and family ask me where to go to eat on a regular basis. I've worked as a waitress, so I know what its like on the service end, and I know how hard, (and easy) it can be to deliver the kind of service I (sometimes) demand. I'm honest, straightforward, and fearless about voicing my opinions (sometimes loudly, sorry Gnarles). I've been told I am pretty funny for a girl. |
Interests | FOOD, eating it, making it, learning about it. . . I should've gone to Culinary School. Organic/ Sustainable agriculture, locally-produced food, MEAT (sorry, I was worried you'd think I was a hippie), and my fabulous boys: BF and Dog! |

Why do you think honeydew is the money melon?
Honeydew has a lot of potential, but is often served out-of-season, in fruit cups (yuck).
