| Introduction | Hi, I'm Meredith, 33. I'm mom to 6 children. I'm a an utter bookworm. I Sew my own designs and love gardening. I am also seriously artistic with stuff for just about any creative endeavor you can imagine. I'm one of those people you'll see outside in the rain, barefoot and puddle stomping. I open doors for my elders. I say 'thank you sir/ma'm'. I like trees. I like making old stuff into something new and cool. I call it "repurposing". I have pretty firm beliefs in living with more for less. So we cloth diaper, use a clothes line, cook from scratch, garden, etc. The house I own right now will eventually be sold and money put towards a house on at least 10 acres with the goal of living as self sufficient as possible. Yeah, I'm a masochist. Yes, it's going to be a lot of work. Yes, I think it's worth it. On the down side, I'm moody, have lots of allergies and am somewhat of a gregarious hermit. I am also a Celiac along with 2 or more (Waiting to see if they show signs) of my children so we eat gluten free here. Oh and I have a mouth like a pirate. I'm tough, independent, and vulnerable all at the same time. I appreciate those traits in other people too. |
