| Introduction | I'm a prepublished author of paranormal romance. (I don't like the word 'unpublished', although it is technically accurate. But it doesn't allow for the potential of that status to change. I once read that premed and prevet students are not called 'unmed' even though they may never get into med school. Therefore, unpublished authors should be called prepublished, even though there's no proof they will become published. We can choose to hope. True, it's semantics, but no one understands the power of words more than a writer.) I've been writing with an eye toward publishing a book for two years now. I'm a member of the RWA (Romance Writers of America) and WisRWA (Wisconsin RWA). I've written two books, one of which was terrible and one of which is quite good. I'm currently working on two more. I'm also shopping out one of my short stories to magazines. Hopefully one day I'll be dropping that 'pre' and just be a published author! |
