Introduction I am a cynical, overweight, failed idealist who aches because the system that he was taught to believe in as a child was an outright lie. But it turns out that our system could actually work if those in charge really did what was right for all of us. And I'm a Democrat. Is that redundant? I strongly believe that what we do to others, and how we do it, especially in the realm of criminal trials and punishment, is the greatest indicator of the strength (or weakness) of our Democracy. As of right now, we are rapidly falling into fascism. I want to see this trend reversed.

Favorite Movies One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Twelve Angry Men, All the Star Wars Stuff - the best was Empire Strikes Back, Fallen. There are others, but these immediately come to mind.

Favorite Books Any of good JFK Conspiracy books (If it's written by Jim Garrison, Linda Pease, James Di Eugenio and some others, I'm in - if it's some tripe by Posner or Bugliosi, never mind - I can read the Warren Commission report myself), The First and Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever - I haven't read the Third Chronicles yet, Anything by Steinbeck, Anything by Ray Bradbury, Many others.
