| Introduction | Jason Avant is the Founder and Managing Editor of DadCentric (www.dadcentric.com), a groundbreaking and popular blog that, according to his agent, provides an offbeat look at events and issues that affect today's fathers. He's hard at work on DadCentric: The Book, to be released by Sear Press in 2008. He's also the Contributing Editor for Parentricty (www.parentricity.com), the social networking site for parents. He also writes about surfing, parenting, the arts, politics and other nonsense at his personal blog, Pet Cobra (www.ruggerjay.typepad.com/pet_cobra/). And he writes thrice-weekly for the pop culture site MamaPop (www.mamapop.com), which is funny because it's a pop culture site for women and clearly he's not a woman, although he knows several and is married to one. Jason lives and works in San Diego, Calif. with his wife and two kids (revised because he's a bad father who forgot to update this profile when 2nd kid was born).
