Introduction I'm a poet and journalist interested in social justice, civil liberties, government transparency and clean energy/energy efficiency. You can find recent poems at Appalachian Heritage; Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel; Coal, A Poetry Anthology; and Verbal Events. I write for The Guardian in the past wrote a monthly column for LLRX.com on federal legislation of social justice import. You can also find my prose at The Roanoke Times, New River Voice, Congresspedia, Sourcewatch, Wikipedia, West Virginia Blue, The Daily Yonder and Newstrust, among other places. I'm a member of the Southern Appalachian Writers Co-op,the West Virginia Mountaintop Removal Writers' Tour, Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards, Blacksburg United for Responsible Growth and the Burning Book Collective. I was a staff member for the late, great New River Free Press from 1988 until its last issue in August of 2007.
