| Introduction | Until my daughter was born, I worked in Fund Management for a private equity firm. Becoming a mom and switching gears to focus on family and home has been a gift. A recent move to a single family home has given me a canvas for my design passion. For inspiration, I’ve purchased countless design magazines, started reading design blogs and watching design TV. One roadblock I’ve consistenty hit in my search for the perfect products are the words “Trade Only” that seem to fall under every source in which I fall in love. The average consumer cannot purchase these items. Hence, the idea for “Maddie G Designs” was born. I hope to help people like me—to provide the DIY interior designer with the ability to order 5 yards of fabric, or the sofa she saw in a magazine. Or, I’ll provide the legwork to locate that elusive source. On my blog, I plan to post the evolution of the design of my home. I’ll also blog about things that inspire me and my design.
