| Introduction | I am Julie and sewing is my passion! My business, J&L Designs has been creating custom home decor and window treatments for decorators and designers for the past 11 years. I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the most talented interior designers in the world. Some of our clients have included Oliver Stone, Harrison Ford, David Schwimmer, Bette Midler, Blythe Danner, Katey Sagal as well as Hard Rock Hotels and Disney Studios. I began embroidering when I was 3, fashioned stylish clothes throughout my youth, designed and created my own wedding dress, decked my kids out in unique fashions, self taught myself how to make slipcovers and ultimately began my business sewing bedding, pillows, cushions and window treatments. Today it almost seems as if "sewing" is a four letter word with all the "no sew" patterns and products on the market. I hope to share all my sewing knowledge I learned over the years and inspire people to get that sewing machine out of the back closet and to sewing again! I promise I'll make it as pain free as possible. |
