Introduction In previous lives, Krijn has worked as an and art director in several advertising agencies, winning numerous awards while having a great time. He was a board member in the ADCN, the Dutch Art Directors Club, as well as the ADCE, the Art Directors Club Europe. He founded his own creative shop 'LABORATORIVM' in 1996. In this Lab art, music, graphics and advertising were all mixed. In 2006, Krijn broke away to focus on photography. His work combines graphic but classical aesthetics with a contemporary view on people and their emotions. Inspired by (in no particular order) Jimi Hendrix, Rembrandt van Rijn, Bettina Rheims, DJ Krush, Piet Mondriaan, Johannes Vermeer, David Carson, Annie Leibovitz, Johnny Burnette, Gottfried Helnwein, Mark Quinn, Charles Saatchi, David Lachapelle, Joel Peter Witkin, Jurassic Five, Stefan Sagmeister, Francis Bacon, Man Ray, Vee Speers, Donald Duck and many many others. Krijn's work is featured in magazines in the Netherlands, like Vrij Nederland, CODE, Elle, NRC Next, M Magazine and more, and also in ad campaigns for brands like Heineken, Philips, Audi, KPN Telecom, Beatport and many others.
