Introduction Having worked for, lived with, socialised with and spent my spare time working on other Quaker activities for most of the last twelve years there hasn't been a whole lot of my life recently that hasn’t been in some way connected with Quakers! Mostly it has felt like a life Spirit led which is great, but in 2012 I began to feel that somehow I'd lost that track. I didn't know where or how but sensed life was about to change. The change started with being made redundant but being pretty sure that something will turn up as it always has before. Between reliever teaching in early childhood, care work at home, plenty of Quaker committee work and taming our garden there was plenty to keep me busy. Then I had additional health issues to contend with but a fairly unstructured and flexible life enabled me to get back on my feet again. Just as I was feeling ready to find more part time work along came a Quaker admin role supporting the Yearly Meeting clerks, it was as if everything had fallen into place again.
