| Introduction | I'm an artist and Conscious Gardening is my consultation business. I love watching things grow and I believe that I have more to learn from the land and natural law than all the books in the world! My favorite place is the garden, mine or yours, especially if yours needs help. After art school, I spent 12 years creating "fine" art. Then I turned my attention to teaching. 7 years later I found myself in my garden recharging, meditating and healing. The birth of "Conscious Gardening" came from my deep love and respect of nature. I think everyone should be able to escape to the garden to rejuvenate. My business is for the edgy researcher, the active learner, the determined do-it-yourselfer, and ultimately the skeptic. Qualifications: BFA Studio Art 1987, 1991,Lifetime Certified Teacher 2000, Awarded Green Garden of Austin 2004, Completed Travis County Master Gardener Certification 2007, Certified Citizen Forrester 2007, Capital Area Master Naturalist 2009, Head Gardener for Howson Library in Tarry Town and "The Green Garden" in Zilker Botanical Gardens. I recently graduated from the National Gardener Landscape Design School at Texas A&M. |
