| Introduction | Author of "Dissecting Antismokers' Brains" and "TobakkoNacht -- The Antismoking Endgame." I grew up in Brooklyn in the 1960s, graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Manhattan College with a dual degree in Peace Studies and Psychology. I then studied statistics and propaganda analysis under a doctoral fellowship at U of PA's Wharton program in Peace Research. . I left after two years to host a Quaker training center in non-violent social change and have worked in the areas of peace activism and social change ever since. Aside from writing, my recent endeavors have included such diverse activities as canvassing door-to-door for SANE/FREEZE and coordinating educa-tional conferences with CNN. . I live and bicycle in West Philadelphia, sharing a small row home with a psychotic cat, a very quiet squirrel, and various other living creatures. |
