Introduction | I am Professor of TESOL at Southern New Hampshire University where I teach English through Drama, Methods of Second Language Acquisition, and Pronunciation Techniques for teachers of ESL/EFL. I write plays, direct plays, act, and encourage the use of drama in language education. To me, speaking a foreign language is performing in another language. The language learner needs to know how to act within his new cultural script. |
Interests | My interests range from theatre and language education to anthropology, comparative religion and culture, film, music, dance, politics, economics, and, most recently, brain based pedagogy. |
Favorite Movies | Freida, Apocalypse Now, A Fish Named Wanda |
Favorite Music | Bach, Beethoven, Hayden, Vivaldi, other classical composers. |
Favorite Books | The Glass Bead Game, Magic Mountain, War and Peace |
