| Introduction | My mom bought me luggage and took me on my first airplane when I was 18 years old...we went to Disney World:) Since then, I blame her for my love of travel. Since studying in Chile in college, I have always wanted to get out and travel. Finally, four years later...I packed my bags and headed to South Korea to teach English. I love my life in Korea...but who knows where I will end up when this adventure (a.k.a. my contract) is over. The purpose of this blog is to keep my friends and family back home updated on what I've been doing in Korea. Especially for my mother...so she can see there is nothing to worry about:) If, in this process, I am able to spread knowledge of another culture to those who otherwise wouldn't necessarily get this first-hand experience, I consider this a success. I truly believe the more we can understand about another culture, the more we can understand about ourselves. I hope you enjoy my blog and learn a little through my eyes as a "foreigner" in South Korea. |
