Introduction I've finally caved and decided to give up something about myself. I am an enthusiastic children's graphic novel writer/illustrator, something I've been doing as long as I can remember. I wrote my first story when I was 6. It was about a little mouse lost in a department store! I continued drawing cartoons about my family and funny boyfriend (now funny husband), but in my late teens I developed a sudden penchant for biology and first aid. I joined the ski patrol, started racing mountain bikes and went to physio school! One day, I overindulged in mountain biking and broke my ankle, had surgery and had the luxury of time (if not mobility). All that time got me drawing again. Now I'm on sabbatical, so I can chase my toddler all day long, and I've returned to my ultimate calling. This is what I was put on Earth to do. I loved the science, and I can't wait to come up with tonnes of stories that can integrate some of my training. I mean, I've dissected an entire cadaver and brains. How cool is that?! Anyhow, thanks for checking in and I look forward to everyday that I get to show my artwork, creative process and inspiration. Find me on twitter and facebook too!
