| Introduction | Our Journey to Lacie began in October 2003 when John and I decided that we wanted to grow our family through adoption. In April of 2004 we began our official journey when we mailed our applications to our homestudy and placing agencies. Things began to move fast as our "Paperchase" began. Some refer to this time as our "paper pregnancy." Once we gathered the necessary documents called a "Dossier" we had it mailed to China in Oct. '04. Then our REAL wait began. In May 23, '05 we received our referral of our baby. We traveled to China on July 9, 2005 and saw our sweet baby Lacie for the first time on 7/13. The past 2.5 years have been the best times of our lives. WE HAVE DECIDED to grow our family yet again! We began the process in January 2007. This time we are on a Journey to Korea to adopt baby Paul. We received his referral in September 2007 and we travel in March to bring him home the following week. |
